 The mandarin duck I photographed one early morning in Svandamsparken in Nynäshamn, is a beautiful bird species from East Asia, whose name comes from its beautiful plumage. Originally used as an ornamental bird in parks and gardens, it has since spread to Europe and is now also seen in several Swedish areas. Look out for this charming bird, it has, among other things, seen at Södermalm in Stockholm and Mariefred.
